Peter Abbott Appointed as Chief Operating Officer of Tropical North Queensland

Entrada Travel Group, one of Australasia’s largest tourism and transport companies, has announced the appointment of seasoned tourism and marine operations professional Peter Abbott as Chief Operating Officer for the Entrada Travel Group brands located in Tropical North Queensland (TNQ), effective 24th March 2025.

With over 25 years of experience across the tourism sector, Peter brings exceptional leadership credentials and a proven track record in driving operational excellence in marine environments and complex tourism operations. Most recently serving as CEO for the iconic Puffing Billy Railway attraction in Victoria, Peter has built a reputation for transforming business performance while maintaining strong stakeholder relationships and delivering outstanding customer experiences.

In his new role, Peter will be part of the Entrada Travel Group Executive Team and lead the group’s diverse range of dive, tourism and ferry transportation services in the region. Additionally, he will oversee the Noosa North Shore Ferry, another key ferry service operated by Entrada on behalf of the Noosa Council.

Beyond his professional achievements, Peter is an active contributor to the tourism and arts sectors, having served on the Museums Australia board for a decade and currently sitting on the Yarra Ranges Tourism Board.
