Auckland Whale & Dolphin Safari

Auckland Whale & Dolphin Safari hosts thousands of guests every year aboard the 20 metre catamaran Dolphin Explorer, with daily 4.5-hour cruises departing from the city’s Viaduct Harbour. Guests encounter New Zealand marine wildlife, including Bryde’s whales, dolphins, orcas, seals and rare seabirds. Frankland Islands Reef Cruises holds an exclusive commercial access permit to visit the Frankland Islands National Park, with visitor numbers capped at 100 per day.  Tours depart Cairns daily and include return sightseeing coach transfers before boarding the 30m Turtle Islander for a relaxing cruise along the Mulgrave River and the shortest crossing to the Great Barrier Reef at just 30 minutes. Visitors then spend the day snorkelling, diving and exploring Normanby Island with a marine biologist.

Daintree Ferry

The Daintree Ferry provides vehicle access across the Daintree River, connecting the northern Daintree Rainforest and Cape Tribulation with the rest of Far North Queensland. The Daintree Ferry is proudly operated by TNQ Transport Services, a division of Entrada Travel Group, on behalf of the Douglas Shire Council.
